Dating Scan
From 8 weeks, know your due date, early reassurance
Our Dating Scans estimates when your baby is due (the estimated date of delivery, or EDD) based on the baby's measurements.
It offers early pregnancy assurance to ladies from as early as 6 weeks or two weeks following a first positive pregnancy test if LMP is unknown.
Each of our early pregnancy scans come complete with a scan report.
Your Visit
During your visit, you will have time for check-in at reception, undergo the scan, review your images where feasible, and seek clarification from the sonographer if needed.
Important Information
- If you are experiencing bleeding, severe pain, or any urgent symptoms during pregnancy, please contact your GP, midwife, or local hospital immediately.
- Our ultrasound scans are non-diagnostic and are provided for reassurance and wellbeing purposes only.
- If you have any medical concerns about your pregnancy, please contact your GP, midwife, or primary healthcare provider for medical advice.
- Internal scans are only performed when necessary and with your consent.
- If you have any concerns about having an internal scan, please contact us in advance or let a member of our team know before your visit.
Before your scan
We recommend arriving about 10 minutes before your visit to allow time for you to park your car and then make yourself comfortable in the clinic.
Upon arrival, you will be asked to complete and sign our Consent Form to help us check that the details we hold are correct and that you understand our terms and also to ensure that we have obtained your consent for us to perform the scan.
You can bring up to 4 guests to your visit, so extended family, friends, and kids are more than welcome to meet your unborn baby!
Please bring your pregnancy notes with you it will be helpful in case our qualified Sonographers need to refer to them at any stage during your early reassurance scan.

Please Note:
The primary purpose of the scan is not to provide digital downloads of pictures or videos. If you have purchased digital downloads, we will provide you with whatever is captured on the day of the scan.
Important Points to Consider:
- No rescan or additional time will be offered solely for the purpose of obtaining better pictures.
- The quality of the images is entirely dependent on the baby's position at the time of the scan, which is beyond our control.

Future Baby 4D Studio is based in the Meadway Shopping Centre in the heart of West Reading, Right next to Asda. We are inside the Meadway Shopping Centre opposite Sara Charity & MyDentist. Easily accessible from M4 Junction 11 & 12.
