The test will include
- 30 minute appointment
- Dating/viability Scan
- 4 black and white prints of baby
- Wellbeing scan report
- Appointment time – 30 minutes
- The results of blood sample will be available in approximately 5 working days and the results are normally sent by email. Any unusual findings will be discussed with you and you will be advised about the referral pathway.

Your Test
Our NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Test) in Leicester is a safe blood test for pregnant women that helps estimate the risk of your baby having Down’s syndrome or certain other genetic conditions. The test includes
- Ultrasound scans for reassurance and dating
- A small blood sample taken from the mother’s arm, sent to a laboratory for analysis
Please note: This test does not replace your NHS 12-week or 20-week scans. We offer various types of NIPT, including the most extensive and advanced Panorama test. Please contact us for further details. Before Your Scan/Test
- Arrive 5 minutes early to allow time for parking and to get settled.
- Complete a Consent Form on arrival to confirm your details and give permission for the scan and blood test.
- You may bring up to four guests; family, friends, and children are welcome.
- For an abdominal ultrasound, a full bladder is required. Drink 500 ml of clear fluids about an hour before your appointment and avoid emptying your bladder.
- Bring your pregnancy notes, as they may assist our qualified sonographers during the scan.
Rescan Policy
In some cases, a follow-up scan may be necessary to complete your report. We will provide this at no extra charge, and we recommend scheduling it as close as possible to the date advised by our healthcare professionals.

Please bring your pregnancy notes with you it will be helpful in case our qualified Sonographers need to refer to them at any stage during your early reassurance scan.
