Your Scan:

Our Dating Scans estimate when your baby is due (the estimated date of delivery, or EDD) based on the baby's measurements. It offers early pregnancy assurance to ladies from as early as 6 weeks or two weeks following a first positive pregnancy test if LMP is unknown. Each of our early pregnancy scans come complete with a scan report.

The scan will include:

• Confirmation of an intrauterine pregnancy
• Visualisation of heartbeat
• Check for single or multiple pregnancy
• Dating the pregnancy by performing accurate baby’s measurements (CRL)
• Estimation of due date (from 8 weeks)
• 2 x black & white prints
• Wellbeing scan report
• Appointment time – 15 minutes
• Start with Abdominal Scan, Transvaginal Scan performed if required

Covid19 Advice:

Your safety and that of our staff are our utmost priority during the coronavirus pandemic. All ultrasound scanning and blood tests require close contact between you and the practitioner, so we’ve implemented strict Social Distancing and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policies for increased protection in our clinic.

If you or anyone in your household has shown symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days (or if you have come into contact with anybody who has), please do not attend your appointment. Please let us know and we will reschedule your appointment for you. In line with UK government guidance, you and your guest are required to wear a mask or face covering when attending appointments at our clinic. Upon entering the clinic you will be requested to sanitize your hands with antibacterial gel.

COVID-19 POLICY

Before you scan:

We recommend arriving about 10 minutes before your appointment to allow time for you to park your car and then make yourself comfortable in the clinic.
Upon arrival, you will be asked to complete and sign our Consent Form to help us check that the details we hold are correct and that you understand our terms and also to ensure thAt we have obtained your consent for us to perform the scan. You can bring up to 3 guests to your appointment, so extended family, friends and kids are more than welcome to meet your unborn baby!

You will need to have a full bladder for the abdominal scan, we suggest you drink 500ML of clear fluids about an hour before your appointment and not go to the toilet before the scan. If an internal scan is required, the procedure will be explained to you in full before we ask for your consent, and you will be able to empty your bladder.

Please bring your pregnancy notes with you it will be helpful in case our qualified Sonographers need to refer to them at any stage during your early reassurance scan.

Rescan Policy:

The quality of your Scan and the satisfaction of our customers is important to us. If in our sonographer’s opinion, we’re not able to complete the primary purpose of your scan we may offer you the option of a free rescan appointment. If this is not possible for any reason, other options will be discussed with you.
