Detail Ultrasound scan of Female Pelvis performed by qualified sonographers to examine Female Genital Health.
The scan will include:
• Transabdominal & Transvaginal (internal – if required) scans will be performed
• Consent will be taken before doing TV scan
• Detail examination of size and shape of Uterus (womb), Ovaries and cervix
• Thickness of the uterine lining (endometrium)
• Detailed report & pictures will be given on the same day
• In case of any concern, you will be guided regarding your referral and the Sonographer will inform your GP

Your Scan: You might have a concern about your Gynaecological health due to pain, unexplained bleeding, post-menopausal bleeding) or a fertility problem. An ultrasound scan will be helpful to investigate the cause of and to eliminate certain worrying conditions. You might need a way of speeding up treatment undergoing with the NHS, for instance, to aid in diagnosis where there is a wait for NHS scan appointments, an urgent scan appointment with an immediate report with us will be helpful. If you would like to discuss details about a scan or if you are unsure if it is suitable for you please contact us our trained, experienced sonographer and we will be pleased to advise you.

All ultrasound scanning and blood tests require close contact between you and the practitioner, so we’ve implemented strict Social Distancing and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policies for increased protection in our clinic. If you or anyone in your household has shown symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days (or if you have come into contact with anybody who has), please do not attend your appointment. Please let us know and we will reschedule your appointment for you. In line with UK government guidance, you and your guest are required to wear a mask or face covering when attending appointments at our clinic. Upon entering the clinic you will be requested to sanitize your hands with antibacterial gel. COVID-19 POLICY
Before you scan: We recommend arriving about 10 minutes before your appointment to allow time for you to park your car and then make yourself comfortable in the clinic. Upon arrival, you will be asked to complete and sign our Consent Form to help us check that the details we hold are correct and that you understand our terms and also to ensure thAt we have obtained your consent for us to perform the scan. You can bring up to 4 guests to your appointment, so extended family, friends and kids are more than welcome to meet your unborn baby! You will need to have a full bladder for the abdominal scan, we suggest you drink 500ML of clear fluids about an hour before your appointment and not go to the toilet before the scan. If an internal scan is required, the procedure will be explained to you in full before we ask for your consent, and you will be able to empty your bladder. Please bring your pregnancy notes with you it will be helpful in case our qualified Sonographers need to refer to them at any stage during your early reassurance scan.
Rescan Policy: The quality of your Scan and satisfaction of our customers is important to us. If, in our sonographer’s opinion, we’re not able to complete the primary purpose of your scan we may offer you the option of a free rescan appointment. If this is not possible for any reason, other options will be discussed with you.
Note: If you choose not to have a transvaginal scan we may be able to complete the scan trans abdominally however please note that results may not be as accurate. A full bladder will be required for a transabdominal scan.
Instant report: Scan results are given to you in a clear, written report with supporting images at the end of your appointment together with an outcome statement, either “No Further Action” or “Medical Follow-Up Recommended”. If our result is “Medical Follow-Up Recommended”, your scan includes sending a copy of the report, with your permission, to your usual healthcare professional at no extra charge.
